2023 TOURNAMENT RESULTS
RON BUCK SINGLES - may 20 & 21, 2023 - Chesapeake bay lawn BOWLING CLUB - Hartfield, VA
On May 20 & 21, we played our last Ron Buck Singles after a 12 year run. We had 10 players with 3 advancing into the finals after 6 games (15 points), Ted Tragard, Veronica Sum and Ryan Hastu.
Playoffs were held and Ted and Veronica played first with Ted advancing to play against Ryan in a nail biter final for 1st and 2nd place. Ted was up 12 tp 5 against Ryan, who then crawled his way back to be up 14 to 13 against Ted. Ted prevailed and won it after knocking Ryan's bowl out and it was a measure for the 2nd shot that gave Ted the win.
A big shout out to Helen Roberston (94 years old) for enduring 6 games! 👏👏👏

This year’s winners of the Colin Smith Pairs at the New York Lawn Bowling Club are:
1st place winners: Veronica Sum of Essex County LBC (Bloomfield, NJ) and Ted Tragard of Frick Park (Pittsburg, PA)
2nd place winners: Joe Kelly and Ryan Hastu of New York LBC
3rd place winners: Debbie Pelosi and Alan Winson wirh sub: Les Winter of New York LBC
9 teams entered for the 2-bowl pairs and 4 teams finished with a 3-1 record on the first day. Both Hastu and Tragard finished with a 5-1 record on the second day and playoffs were held for 1st and 2nd.

Round robin format was played and 3rd game was the deciding factor as both teams, Tragard vs. Lockyer, were heading into their game with a 2-0 record.
